The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key will be released this week, ending weeks of uncertainty for candidates awaiting an official update.
The announcement was made through an NTA public notice dated August 10, 2026. However, the agency has not announced an exact date or time for the publication of the answer key.
Along with UGC NET, NTA will also publish provisional answer keys for CSIR-NET, ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE (PhD) 2026 during the same week.
The development is particularly important for candidates awaiting results for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor eligibility and PhD admissions.

The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted from June 22 to June 30, with examinations held in two shifts each day. More than a month passed without an official timeline for the provisional answer key, prompting candidates to seek updates from NTA.
The delay became particularly important for aspirants planning to use their UGC NET qualification for PhD admission processes. Candidates and student groups had raised concerns that delayed examination results could overlap with university admission timelines.
